Cats About Town Has Gone to the Dogs
This Fifth Avenue walking tour starts at Madison Square Park and ends near the Plaza Hotel, following one of New York's richest corridors for Gilded Age stories.
Along the route, you will hear true stories about the cats and dogs connected to old mansions, grand hotels, early shows, city landmarks, firehouses, society families, and Fifth Avenue surprises.
The walk covers approximately 2 miles over 2 hours. Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome free of charge if they are leashed, carried, or secured in a stroller or carrier. Owners are responsible for their pets throughout the tour.
Start: benches in front of Jemmy Madison Dog Park, near Broadway and 24th Street. End: the Plaza Hotel area at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue.
